Student brief to create a restaurant which deals with issues of LGBTQ. I focused on the stigma and the complications of 'coming out' and being honest and confident in your sexual orientation. I had the insight that people who are part of LGBTQ have a hard time of confessing themselves and 'coming out' and worry about the reaction of others. I wanted to create a space where they could be comfortable with who they are and be able to vent some their thoughts openly without the rejection and dis-ownership of them. It's not only a space for people who are LGBTQ, but heterosexuals as well, who also want express their thoughts and feelings to better understand each side, creating a sense of understanding and peace.
